The Michelin Guide's review
Established in 1868 by Count Giovanni Querini Stampalia, this foundation boasts a library, temporary exhibition spaces, an auditorium and a museum. In the wake of remodelling by three contemporary architects, the palazzo (1513) now displays a pleasant mixture of old and new. The museum allows visitors to admire an elegant aristocratic home (furniture, tableware etc) and houses paintings by some of Venice's greatest artists, including Palma the Elder, Giambattista Tiepolo, Giovanni Bellini, Gabriele Bella and Pietro Longhi.
