The Michelin Guide's review
Designed by Arthur Erickson, this urban project (1979) has transformed the city centre. At one point, the huge esplanade passes under Robson Street where it is home to an ice rink, café terraces and a convention centre; it then spans Smithe Street to reach terraces of gardens and fountains that lead to the Law Courts, a spectacular seven-storey edifice covered in a glass atrium.
