The Michelin Guide's review
Marsamxett Harbour stretches out between the rocky spur of Valetta and Manoel peninsula, where you will find the eponymous fort built by the French architect, Mondion, and San Rocco, an edifice that was formerly a lazaretto. At the time of the Knights, it served not only as a place of quarantine for crews arriving from the East, but also for the sick during epidemics. Today San Rocco is home to a yacht club, greatly prized by an international jet set.
