This superb zoo encompasses some 100,000m²/328,084ft² in Cabecera park to the west of Valence. Leopards, lions, giraffes, elephants, gorillas, hippopotamus and even otters roam in semi-freedom in a bid to respect their natural environment. Four African ecosystems have been reproduced: savannah, lakes, equatorial forest and Madagascar. A film illustrates the impressive resources that went into building the zoo.
