Departing from Val Thorens, a cable-car takes you to an altitude of 3,200m, to the top of Caron peak. The panorama over the French Alps from the viewing table is matchless (particularly in winter), embracing the Mont-Blanc, the Vanoise, Queyras (Mount Viso), Thabor and Écrins ranges.
