On Saturdays, this square and its elegant 17 and 18C houses form the impressive backdrop to the stunning flower market. The Janskerk church stands in the centre and to the south of the square, the Faculty of Law of the University of Utrecht is in the old Statenkamer (restored). In the beginning it was a Franciscan cloister.
