This enjoyable museum is located in a 19C chalet, whose interior is depicted by tiny rooms with low ceilings and sloping floors. It is home to a magnificent collection of party costumes and hats, a variety of art and craft objects, rural art and embroidery, old hay carts, a reconstitution of an Appenzell home, a music room and so on. A more recent wing has been added to the older edifice to host temporary exhibitions.
