Ulldecona rock art complex
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the paintings (10 000-6 500 BCE) discovered on the southeast slope of the Serra de Godall are among the best preserved of Catalonia. They adorn the walls and ceilings of shallow rock dwellings. Pop into the visitor centre to better understand the paintings in situ, notably a particularly expressive hunting scene. The best time to visit is around 4pm, when the temperatures are at their fiercest.
