  The Michelin Guide's review
This peninsula north of Portree is known for its unusual jagged rock formations (in particular the Old Man of Storr, which looks like a rhinoceros' head). The coastal road affords lovely sea views over the east coast of Skye (at Kilt Rock). In Kilmuir, visit the fascinating Museum of Island Life, which gives an idea of how harsh life must have been for the ancestors of Skye's inhabitants.
