  The Michelin Guide's review
The Emerald Triangle, as opposed to the Golden Triangle, refers to an area of lush forests which cover this region on the crossroads of Thailand, Laos (to the east) and Cambodia (to the south). From its capital, Ubon Ratchathani, head off on a journey of discovery through its unspoilt landscapes including, to the east, the Pha Taem national park, where you'll find unique prehistoric remains with the Mekong as backdrop.
