This former hospital, commissioned by Diego de los Cobos, Bishop of Jaén, has a large courtyard flanked by two towers. The only decoration is an equestrian high relief of St James the Greater on the doorway. Note the fine altarpiece in the chapel. The double-gallery patio reveals an elegant staircase with a coffered vaulted ceiling and Italian marble columns.
