The Michelin Guide's review
Phaistos Theatre, composed of eight rectilinear tiers, encloses the west courtyard, a huge paved esplanade that diagonally crosses the narrow Corridor of the Processions. The function of the four circular structures opposite the theatre remains unknown. It is thought they may have had a votive role and been where offerings were placed, or been for storing grain.
