Agia Triada
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
The villa of Agia Triada has plenty of charm and makes for an interesting visit. Made up of a palace built c 1600 BC, with apartments, places of worship and shops and is separated from the necropolis by a lovely paved road that led to Phaistos. It may have been the residence of a dignitary of the town. After its destruction c 1450 BC, it was partly reconstructed and became a place of worship. Next to it are the remains of a village dating from the recent Minoan period (1350 BC).
