Notre Dame Cathedral, Tulle
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
A 73m-tall bell tower, whose steeple was hit by lightning in 1645 (but later rebuilt), a Limousin-type portal and, most notably, a large, richly coloured stained-glass window by Jacques Gruber (1979). The highly venerated wooden statue of St John the Baptist (16C) stands at the nave entrance to the left. The cloister is worth visiting due to the delicately sculpted motifs on its columns and keystone.
