The Michelin Guide's review
This squat cathedral crowned with crenellations and flanked by robust towers has the appearance of a fortress. Consecrated in 1232, the cathedral is Romanesque-Gothic in style and boasts an impressively sculpted main doorway. Above the galleries of the cloister, with its sober, Cistercian-style decor, the rampart walk offers attractive views of the river and its valley. The former pilgrims' hospital is now home to a diocesan museum.
