The Michelin Guide's review
The University of Arizona's superb campus covers some 435 acres in downtown Tucson. When it opened in 1891, it only had a single building, isolated in the desert, forcing the handful of students to get there on horseback! It is now one of the US's main research centers, with a host of renowned laboratories. Its different museums are fascinating and fully worth a look.
