The Michelin Guide's review
The present castle was built during the Renaissance on the foundations of an earlier mid-11C edifice. Today it contains the university departments of science and archaeology together with their collections, including an archaeology museum. An interesting display of plaster casts of antique statues is housed in the Knights' Room, which also boasts a stately oriel window dating from 1537 and ornamented with a splendid star-shaped vault.
