The Michelin Guide's review
The Gothic-inspired cathedral and its copper-clad steeple was the work of Victor Bourgeau. It was consecrated in 1858, but financial difficulties delayed the erection of the steeple until 1905. The interior is dominated by Guido Nincheri's richly coloured stained-glass windows. Produced between 1935 and 1954, they depict the "Lorette Litanies" of the Virgin Mary. Beside the cathedral is a statue of Louis-François Laflèche, Bishop of Trois-Rivières from 1870 to 1898.
