The Michelin Guide's review
Founded in 1064 and still home to a Benedictine community, this convent is unusually built between a section of the ramparts dating back to antiquity and another section of Venetian origins. The church of St Nicholas and the Kairos collection are both open to the public. The latter is named after its prize piece, a Hellenistic (3C BC) bas-relief depicting the quest for the auspicious moment. The collection also has some fine 13C-16C paintings and sacred and profane objects.
