Daskalov House (1808) is hidden by high walls and a garden. The ground floor houses a collection devoted to Trjavna's school of wood carving: furniture, doors, iconostases, sculptures depicting Bulgarian sovereigns. The upper floor recreates the life style of a well-off family in the early 19C. Admire the ceilings which, according to legend, were carved as a challenge: the first (July Sun) was carved by the apprentice Ivan Bucukoveca; the second (May Sun) is the work of his master, Dimitar Ošaneca. Magnificent!
