The Michelin Guide's review
A major landmark of the city, this 167m-high tower was a bold design, built in 1863 by the architect Alessandro Antonielli to serve as a place of worship for Turin's Jewish community. It was sold to the municipality in 1877, and today houses the fabulous collection of the National Cinema Museum. A central glass lift allows visitors to get an idea of the museum's astonishing layout on the way up to the top of the Mole, from where there is a broad panoramic view over Turin.
