This garden was designed in the 19C by the famous painter Yuan Long. At the end of the inner courtyard, around which are arranged the living quarters, the Moon Gate (a circular doorway) leads to the garden itself, with its views across a large expanse of water. Centred around a lake, the entire garden courtyard is visible from the top of the belvedere, composed of rocks pierced by a passageway. A boat-shaped pavilion juts out above the water.
