The Centro Cultural Mexiquense, a large cultural complex, covers a huge estate formerly occupied by the hacienda La Pila. The old buildings share the space with modern constructions, forming an ensemble of different areas where this cultural heritage of great importance is preserved. The complex has three museums designed by Pedro Ramírez Vázquez: the Museo de Arte Moderno, Museo de Culturas Populares and Museo de Antropología.
