The Michelin Guide's review
The world's largest fish market, Tsukiji Jogai Market, gets up at the crack of dawn at 5am but closes at 1pm, leaving you ample time to wander through the piles of crates containing Guam tuna fish, scad, Kyushu turtles, etc. Every day some 2,500 tons of 450 different species of fish and seafood go through Tsukiji Market. The market is planned to be relocated to Toyosu (Odaiba) for health and safety reasons as well as financial pressure.
