The Michelin Guide's review
This huge square constitutes one of the country's finest urban ensembles. Its primarily Baroque buildings have been superbly restored. In front of their coloured façades which have rediscovered their original brightness, the square comes alive on fine days when the cafés occupying many of their buildings serve customers on their terraces. At its centre, the Holy Trinity monument is a "plague column", so characteristic of Baroque cities.
