The new museum of Tianjin, with its futurist architectural style, is situated on Yinhe Square. The museum houses traditional collections of paintings, calligraphies, ceramics, jade, seals and coins, as well as typical works from Tianjin such as niren, clay statuettes manufactured since the mid 19C, and nianhua, New Year prints from Yangliuqing. One wing is entirely dedicated to the town's history, with a display of antiquities and photographic archives from the former concessions.
