Bang Lang Bird Reserve
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
This bird reserve is an area of exuberant vegetation covering 13 000m2 of the Mekong Delta. It is home to thousands of herons, sacred ibis, bitterns, common cranes and cormorants which come to nest in these tranquil surroundings away from their threatened environments elsewhere. It is best to visit between September and December when storks nest here and at 5pm on the dot when the owner of the reserve organises a surprise for visitors.
