The Michelin Guide's review
The Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki houses one of Greece's richest collections. The architecture of the building, constructed in 1962, is reminiscent of Ancient Greek houses. The permanent collections present the history of Macedonia, from prehistoric to Roman times; they exhibit objects from the sites of Macedonia and Thrace, including a few masterpieces, such as the Derveni Krater.
