This lake was formed in the dunes at the end of the 19C. Since then several new lakes have been created nearby. In the reeds, you can see, amongst others, spoonbills, grey herons and pointed tail ducks. In the surrounding area, you can see the interesting flora of the dunes and marshes. From the belvedere on the Mokweg, there is an attractive viewing point over the reserve.
