To the east of Tentena, Saluopa Waterfall is worth the detour. An elegant curtain of frothing waters, the waterfall has polished the rock and hewn out several natural pools, which are stacked in a profusion of greenery (be careful, the ground is very slippery). Its fresh, crystal-clear water attracts a ballet of delicate butterflies. A warung (simple restaurant) sells snacks and drinks near the entrance, and at a wooden house you can drink coffee and nibble grilled peanuts.
