The Michelin Guide's review
This museum is established in the former home of the famous frontiersman, Kit Carson, whose life is depicted by a 20min-film, period objects and documents. Kentucky-born Carson, trapper, scout, guide and Indian agent and fighter, took part in the wars against the Native American peoples, and rose to fame during his lifetime. This house was his wedding gift to his young Spanish-born wife and they lived here until their death in 1868.
