Lady Florence Trevelyan loved to watch the birds in this floral park. In order not to frighten away her little friends, she had all sorts of shelters built, some curious, others frankly exotic, although many are in a sorry state today. Look out for one of the most unusual, called, aptly enough, The Beehives. Running alongside the sea, a small alley provides an attractive panoramic view over Etna and the coast.
