The Michelin Guide's review
This grey-granite cathedral with a red roof was built from 1902 to 1907 by Lars Sonck in the National Romantic style. The medieval Gothic influence can be seen in the arrows of the towers and the pillars supporting the vault. Behind the high altar is a fresco (The Resurrection) by Magnus Enckell (1870-1925), who also designed the glass cross in the chancel. Hugo Simberg also contributed to the interior decoration.
