The Michelin Guide's review
This concrete church is a bold creation by architects Reima and Raili Pietilä, dating from 1966. The absence of columns gives an astonishing impression of elevation (30m) and avoids any obstacle obstructing vision or sound. The windows run from the ground to the ceiling, allowing the greenery outside to be seen from within. Reima Pietilä created this work of art, focusing on every detail of the ornamentation and furnishings, in the belief that these contributed to its overall harmony.
