The Michelin Guide's review
The earliest church in Estonia (consecrated in 1240), the cathedral was destroyed by a fire that ravaged Toompea in 1684. It was rebuilt in the Baroque style; this was further enhanced by the addition of a bell tower in 1779, from the top of which there are fine panoramic views. Inside there is a fine collection of Baroque coats of arms carved in oak.
