  The Michelin Guide's review
The unspoiled coastline of the Sea of Japan, near Kinosaki Onsen, is more than worth the journey for its pristine landscapes, which are part of the National Park of San-in Kaigan coast. Takeno beach, to the west of the town and right at the beginning of Nekosaki peninsula, is on many a postcard thanks to its white sand and transparent water. Swimming is not advisable from August 15 because of jellyfish.
