  The Michelin Guide's review
Named after a ferocious 15C general, this square, built on a slope, offers a fine picture of Renaissance gables, dominated by the Church of the Deanery (Dekanský kostel). The latter is home to superb diamond-shaped vaults. Also worthy of mention is the remarkable town hall with a tower and three gables. Dating from 1521, its current aspect is the result of Neo-Gothic alterations in the 19C. Inside is the Hussite Museum (Husitské muzeum); it also leads to underground Tábor, a strange maze of cellars linked to each other.
