Margit Kovács Museum
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
This old 17C merchant's house is where the works of the ceramist Margit Kovács (1902-77) are displayed. This talented artist, a prizewinner at the Universal Exhibitions in Paris (1937) and Brussels (1958), used a variety of media (varnished clay, terracotta, white or coloured glaze), to address a range of themes: genre figures, folk traditions, religious or mythological subjects, ornaments. Note, in particular, the Family album, The Kugelhopf Madonna, Country wedding and The Fates.
