The Michelin Guide's review
Svätý Kríž village church is one of the last remaining articular churches in Slovakia. It was built in 1729 by an illiterate master carpenter, Jozef Lang. The choir and ceiling have preserved their magnificent 17C and 18C paintings. This building is one of the most spacious sacred wooden buildings in Europe, with a capacity of up to 6 000 people.
