The Michelin Guide's review
This old Romanesque abbatial church was probably built in the first half of the 11C. The very simple main nave is covered with a flat ceiling and rests on square pillars alternating with squat columns. The crypt, outside the apse, may have been inspired by the one in the cathedral at Essen, in Germany. It contains an 8C sarcophagus and a wayside cross from the 13C.
