The outline of the 13C castle built on an outcrop cannot fail but catch the eye. It is not an easy climb up, but the views of the volcanoes of Tapolca and the mountains of Bakony which unfold on the way, are well worth the effort. Back in the town, venture inside the parish church (Római katolikus plébaniatemplom) to admire the interior frescoes, the work of the 18C Austrian painter Franz Anton Maulbertsch.
