The Michelin Guide's review
This 70km-long arm of the Danube is the best served and most visited. It ends in Sulina, the only real town in the delta. We can see here how populated the delta is: livestock, housing, silviculture (poplar). The passage of large cargo ships, creating waves that race along the banks, are a reminder of the economic importance of this developed route, which also acts as an interchange for many bird species since five migration routes intersect here. Quite a crossroads!
