These white chalk cliffs covered with a thick coat of dark trees extend over several kilometres and dominate the sea from a height of 128m at their highest point. They formed when glacial deposits were eroded by the sea. Several footpaths lead through woods to the edge of the cliffs, affording impressive views. The shore below is scattered with fossils.
