The Michelin Guide's review
The village is known for its strange church, rebuilt by Father Daubenberger, which was used as the setting for a scene in François Truffaut's film Mississippi Mermaid. From 1926 to 1950, with the help of his parishioners, children from his catechism class and the young Daughters of Mary, this Alsatian-born son of an architect decorated the chapel and church façade with all kinds of motifs - mostly of flowers and fruit - cast in cement and embedded on the walls.
