The Michelin Guide's review
The Pays de Caux, so dear to local boy Maupassant, owes its renown to its imposing coastline from Dieppe to Le Havre, its splendid white chalk cliffs along the Côte d'Albâtre and its lively seaside resorts such as Étretat and Le Tréport. Inland, its rich architectural heritage is illustrated by a profusion of manor houses, castles, half-timbered cottages and dovecotes in polychrome materials incorporating wattle and daub, brick, sandstone and flint.
