The Michelin Guide's review
Castle Cornet used to be a heavily fortified island. The castle now houses four gardens and five museums: Castle Cornet History Museum; a Maritime Museum, from Gallo-Roman times to the present; the Royal Guernsey Militia Regimental Museum, devoted to the local militia formed in the 13C; the 201 Squadron RAF Museum and the Royal Guernsey Light Infantry Museum, dedicated to this regiment that fought in WWI. From the citadel there is a fine view over the town, the neighbouring islands and the French coast.
