The Michelin Guide's review
Begun around 1200, Notre-Dame Church bears witness to the evolution of the Burgundian Gothic style from the 13C to the 15C. The 13C porch, restored by Viollet-le-Duc, houses graves dating from 1258. It opens through three doorways, one of which is decorated with the Last Judgement. The interior is noteworthy for its extremely pure lines. Two 14C cast-iron stoups, placed at the entrance, precede the central nave featuring painted keystones and consoles carved with expressive faces. A narrow gallery, level with the high windows, lightens the overall effect.
