The Michelin Guide's review
Stunningly located on Cap Ferrat, this Italianate palace was built in 1905 by Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild to house her collection of over 5,000 works of art (mosaics, Gobelins tapestries, Old Masters, porcelain and furniture). In 1935, the baroness left the villa to the Fine Arts Academy of the Institut de France. Flanked by magnificent gardens, the villa overlooks the sea, embracing views of the bays of Villefranche and Beaulieu.
