The Michelin Guide's review
The Église Sta-Maria-Assunta is said to stand on the site of the Roman city of Nebium. It is one of the most important examples of religious architecture in Corsica. Representative of the second period of the Pisan Romanesque era on the island, the church was completed around 1140. Its dimensions and the layout of its basilica make clear its affiliation with the Cathédrale de la Canonica. It differs from the latter by the opulence of its decoration. Inside, be sure to admire the glass shrine containing the relics of Saint Flor.
