The Michelin Guide's review
The ruins of this former Franciscan monastery (14C), encompassing church, cloisters and a sprawling garden, form a very romantic complex and a real oasis of calm. The square cloisters are composed of small twin columns, which support Romanesque-style arches, and are covered with vegetation. In the nave of what used to be the church, you access the cellars hewn out of the rock 20m down. Since 1892, renowned sparkling wines have been made in these cellars: Crémants de Bordeaux.
